The countdown

The Austin Marathon website is stressing me out. They have a countdown that not only counts the days until the marathon, but the hours, minutes and milliseconds. MILLISECONDS? Are they kidding me? Because telling people that there are only 170 days left (as of today) isn't enough, to count milliseconds? I mean they don't even list your race time in milliseconds. It's hh:mm:ss.

On a different note, I registered for the Houston half marathon today (Jan. 13). One of the girls I ran Nashville with lives there and asked me to run with her, so I'm on board. This is also in the event of the MCM not going as well as I would like. I hear it's always good to have a backup race ready.

Sometime in October I'll make a decision about Austin. I really feel like part of the running community now. I can tell that race season is about to begin and I am trying to figure out which half marathons I'll do this spring! It's really exciting!
